Starting a business isn’t all about yourself, but rather what you can do for other people. After 4 years in business, (Wow I can’t believe I just said 4 years!!) I still have that mindset in my businesses.

Being a photographer, I have seen other photographers want to hide their secret ways to success and become territorial over their “super secret special photo locations”…

I am just not that kind of person and I am totally okay with that! In my mind, I have always wanted to create or be a part of a community. Working for yourself for so long can be in a way lonely. I don’t have co-workers to joke around with, unless you count my dogs and cats…

One way I have found to create a community besides my social media following and absolutely amazing clients like you is to help new photographers, teach them a few of my tricks and literally just hang out and grab a cup of coffee with them.

Today I wanted to share some bomb photos Black Lili Photography took of me when we went out searching for awesome new photo locations. Izzy aka the amazing photog behind the scenes of Black Lili Photography has a very different style to my own but her images are fire!

We went out just talking photography and posing, so we photographed each other and had a blast even though it was a tad chilly outside. I don’t get my photo taken very much so it was definitely a bit weird being on the other side of the camera. One thing I really love about her work is how she captures genuine emotion. That is something I try to do myself and I can really appreciate her work because of it!

You will definitely want to check out some of her work, and if her style matches your vision, then go for it because she is literally an amazing person overall and you will have the time of your life chit chatting and being around her bubbly personality!
