"A Match Made In Heaven" | Gretchen Elaine Photography Engagement Proposal

Secret proposals are completely nerve-wracking and exciting. I always have so many emotions built up until the moment. This proposal was about 10x as crazy because it was my best friend’s engagement!

I waited at the Point in Pittsburgh for about 3 hours anxiously awaiting their arrival. I was so nervous because I knew if she saw me, it would be a dead giveaway of what was happening. I must admit, I was also extremely nervous because Makaylah is also a photographer and I know she would want a fairytale proposal with gorgeous pictures. I really didn’t want to disappoint.

When I finally saw they arrived, I was so thankful she didn’t notice me, but Brad found me and we were a go.

Looking back at their photos, I can’t help but get goose-bumps. Their images look so vintage like from another time period. (Which completely matches Makaylah’s personal tastes) It was so dreamy and beautiful, I just couldn’t believe my eyes!

A quick behind the scenes note: during the proposal Makaylah was definitely emotional and took a few moments to respond to his question. I got a bit nervous because she wasn’t responding!

I am so happy for both Brad and Makaylah and I think they are a match made in heaven.
