Photographing the love and compassion that families have for one another is one of the truly special moments about my career as a professional photographer that will never get old. I love to have the opportunity to capture these moments that not everyone sees.

I was so happy to photograph my family during the celebration of my great aunt and uncle’s 50th Anniversary party. I don’t normally get to see everyone from that extended side of the family and it was such a fun day celebrating together.

This portrait of my great aunt and uncle with their kids and grand kids was so much fun and pretty crazy to put together since the party was a surprise! Having the opportunity to gather everyone up and take a big family photo can be difficult with how crazy life can be. I wanted to make sure they got a nice updated portrait together because the kids have grown up so much!

As I have said before, family is everything. I am so happy that I chose my career as a photographer to capture not only my family’s special moments and life milestones, but other families as well. It is truly a gift and blessing to be able to do what I do and create meaningful portraits that will last for generations to come
